Important Changes

Jan 4, 2019

Here are a few important changes happening at IT with details below:

  • Email delivery from systems
  • Password and login changes for UCPath
  • Duo Enrollment

Email delivery from systems

We made updates this week to the way email is delivered from our systems such as Collaborative Tools, Mailing Lists and the Volunteer Management System. In short, we have utilized a service from UC Davis to deliver all outbound email from these systems, and they have begun the process of removing and replacing this service. After working with campus IT and testing a new service, we moved to the new service.

If you notice any irregularities in the way email is being delivered, such as an increase in bounces, please contact us at help@ucanr.edu with as much detail as you can provide.

Password and login changes for UCPath

Over the past year, UC ANR and UCOP have been collaboratively been working to create a separate digital identity for UC ANR. Up until this point, we've relied heavily on our campus partners to provide local identities which then allow us access to key systems like timesheets and AggieTravel. With the launch of UCPath (coming at the end of March 2019), UC ANR will use this new identity to allow access to UCPath systems and related services.

To prepare for this change, we have launched a new login process available now for testing. On your ANR Portal login screen, under the UC Trust links, is one for UCANR Single Sign-On (SSO). Please test your access as soon as possible and let us know at help@ucanr.edu if you encounter any issues. This will be the only way to access HR and payroll systems after the launch of UCPath, so it's important we make sure everyone can use it.

Duo Enrollment

As you may already know, all UC ANR personnel will be required to use multi-factor authentication to access all systems in the near future as part of the UCPath organization changes. The first wave of this specific change is the rollout of Duo, a multi-factor authentication service, and it has a deadline of February 13, 2019. Please visit http://ucanr.edu/mfa for more information about how to enroll!
